My local bone yards use the welded wheels as stands under all of the vehicles in the yards.

They are very stable actually, better then those common stands sold everywhere.

Yep and the frame rails or axle tubes tuck right in.

I've had a 3 ton stand fail under my 3800lb jeep. I only trust overbuilt now.

This one is still hard to beat, in this case brand wouldn't matter. Crushed is crushed.

I don't even trust jack stands by themselves. I try to always leave the jack in place also. I lower the frame on the jacks for stability, and leave the jack up.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to work with a jack off.
