Default Need some advice/insight

Hey fellas, well after all the little things I've done to my Ram so far, I would really like to lower it a bit. Not slam it and make it a low rider, but just drop it a tad to give it a nice stance and maybe for a little bit better handling. I just put Bilsteins on and new tires all the way around and would like to keep all of them. Basically, my plan is to keep a nice little rake to it, like it already has, but over all have the truck sit about 2 inches lower and have the tires fill in the wheel wells a bit better, I don't want anything too drastic. I measured the distances between the top of the tires to the top of the wheel wells. The rear measured in at 8.5" and the front measured in right at 5.5". So I figured if I just got 2 inch drop shackles for the rear, it should still sit about 1 inch higher then the front, still providing a slight rake. What do you guys think? Should I also get some DJM drop springs for the front? I spoke with my father and he insisted it would compromise ride quality but I see many of you on here doing it without any problems, and most say it handles a bit better. Like I said I don't want to really drop the front or rear anymore then 2 inches, just a nice subtle change.

Heres a side pic as it sits now for a better visual

that's a good looking truck. i'd drop the rear the 2" and see how you like it.
i think it'd be good with just that.

what wheels are those ?

Thanks man, I will probably just do that, see how it looks with just the shackles.

Oh, and they are the stock wheels.

Any other takes?

you can flip your stock front spring hangers and get a free 2" rear drop....

but its more involved that just shackles....i put 2" shackles on my truck and it still needs 2 more to be level

I remember reading that in your other post, very interesting, can't say I would want to quite get that involved with drilling out rivets etc... Did you notice the drop with the 2" drop shackles? Was the appearance noticeable? And I am assuming it still retained somewhat of a rake on yours because you still want to get it a little lower to make it level? I really don't want it to sit level, I want to keep a subtle rake as it gives an old school look and I tow quite often. Did you ever get any measurements of the tire to wheel well clearances? Have any side pics with the shackles installed?

I really like that stance, and you haven't touched the front suspension yet? Yours seems lower in the front then mine.

nope, its a 95 tho, so i figure its sagging and thats why its still 2" lower in the front, that and my shocks are extrememly bad, but im not sure if that has any thing at all to do with the height

Only if I could find a truck like tht for a trail truck. Slap some dana 60's under it and 4.88 and 37's and call it a day.

Well I also have a lower profile tire then you do, probably why it looks so different. I bet if I still had my 275-70s on there it would look similar
