Unhappy 2001 dodge ram quad door, and drivers door speaker issue

hey guys, im sorta new to the forums but i need help, my drivers side quad door bottom latch will not budge at all (top works fine) just not the bottom one, i had the panel off and many different tools down in the door to try and open up the latch. Anyone have any suggestions of how i could get the latch open from the outside? or anything? any help is really appreciated

quickly one more thing... my drivers door speaker has no bass, i dont have the infinity package... so any clue what size the speakers are and how many ways they are, 2-3? i figure 3 cuz the controls for the radio are bass, mid, and treble, but i figured i would ask

-thanks guys

Sorry, can't help with the speaker issue, but I do know that I've seen a thread or two with the same issue you have with the door. Do a search while you wait for replies. IIRC , one of the things to try while you have the panel off, is to soak the heck out of it with a quality penetrating oil (not wd40) to start with.

yeah i did that a bit, the panels not off anymore sadly but if i get enough replys or something i might, but i have been wd-40ing it from the outside just all over the latch but from the inside it wont budge and its hard to get to but if i could get it with something from the outside that would be great, and just leave it open cuz my pass rear door bottom latch does not work either

One thing I do remember is, that whatever the solution was, it required the panel be off.

yeah which kinda sucks, cuz the gromit things that hold the panel on arent of the best quality for constant removal and replacement

In the quad cab, you should have 4 speakers total. One in each front door, those are 6x9s, and two in the back door, or wall. The rears should be 5 1/4"
