yeah i would say about 3 hours, it took me about that with two different trips to the store since i wasnt completely prepared....in all honesty its not a very hard thing to do at all.....you do have to give yourself time to accept the fact youll be drilling 15 holes in your roof!

I hate to repeat a question I asked previously, but does anyone know if the 97 1500's are pre-set for the running lights like the 01's are?

I have 6-7 months to do just that. I've been wanting to add cab lights to my truck for awhile but having the pacific between me and my truck kinda makes it difficult to get done. Just 6 more months and I'll be back with my truck...can't wait.

What did yall ground the lights to? Did u ground them under the roof?

I didn't get mine all done ran out of time and my friend kept making me go a d d. So right now I'm at 4hrs. Oh when I put them on with in about 45mins it started to rain so tomorrow when I pull down the liner I will know if I put enough on.

on your recons, you will have to ground them by means of wiring harness, IIRC, remember i have a set and the directions but they are missing parts

mine and the OP's are grounded through the screw

Yr recons had directions? Mine sure as hell didn't I kept hoping I would see them fall out of some where but they never did. Ok I know where I have a few good grounds in the truck. I think work can pay me to finish them up today. One more thing they look so sweat white on black it really sets them off!!
