has anyone run Purple Ice?
Well, I keep getting the 1281 code... engine too cold. I have recently replaced the radiator, flushed all lines, flushed trans cooler, new hoses, new water pump, new coolant temp sensor, and 180 t-stat when I installed my air gap manifold. I added Purple Ice and now I think my computer is dumping more fuel to get the motor hotter. Or am I just on crack?
Has anyone run into anything like this? I thought I was doing good getting this 360 to run cooler.

Sold my '04 WR450 end of last year. Still got my '03 YZ250F, an '05 YFZ450 quad and an '85 ATC350X. The quad and 3-wheeler are for sale. No time for sand toys anymore, I spend most of my riding time at the track on the YZ. Going to get a new YZ450F with the money.
I had the same issue and it was a T stat that opened a little too early.
You can try buying another T stat, I've had good luck with Stant Superstats.
You could also try an underdrive pulley to gain some power back and it'll run the WP less. If you don't have a lot of electrical accesories, you can run one without issues.

We use Purple Ice in the race cars from time to time. Depends on the track and weather conditions. Most track we run at have a rule against running antifreeze in the radiators. The Ice does help keep it cooler and still be " legal".
