Default '95 airbag clock spring?

hey guys, I'm having an issue trying to find one of these for my year span. I finally found a new used airbag and module for it from ebay.. but when I pulled the blown bag out of the wheel I see the little connector is melted and ruined. I can't find clock rings for this dang thing anywhere, everything is for 97 and up!

yep...sadly enough, i just had mine replaced and the auto shop had to order it from the dealer. $250ish bucks (can't remember exactly) for JUST the clock spring.

depends on whether you had cruise control or not...my new clock spring also fixed my cruise control that has never worked no more long rides with a aching foot!!!

That cruise/clockspring was a TSB years ago. Did you check with the dealer on that?

I know what you mean wjxavier. I have to use my trucks cruise on long trips cause my foot's cruise is totally unreliable. I set it at 65, and when I look back I'm doing 100.

my truck has cruise control, though I have no clue whether it works or not. had the truck since 2001 and the little controller in the wheel was busted out and all smashed up from God knows what. I can't find the clock spring anywhere online.. cept for one guy stating to be a Dodge parts dealer and wanted 190 bucks. but if you say you paid 250 for it, then I think I'll be sending that fella an email! my truck has about 172k on the meter so it's probably getting to be due for a new clock ring anyway..

They sent me a card in the mail and told me to take it in to the dealer to have it replaced. something about potential for airbag non-deployment or false deployment, I can't recall the exact wording. Call and ask, that's the best you can do, though with the economy the way it is, they'll probably let it slide if at all possible.
