Default Need New Cats

Hi all-

I have a 99 Ram 2500 V-10. My cats are bad and am confused about what to buy to replace them. I've seen direct fit replacements but at $300ea I had trouble choking that down. So after researching it a bit I am fully confused. Do you have to match the GVW of the truck to the new cat or will any universal due. That brings me to the air tubes that come out of the ones I have currently. I assume the universals don't have them. High flow or not high flow. Please help me simplify this so I won't drive my self crazy and put this off any longer.

Thanks

Geoff

IIRC the heavy duty rams, (HD360s and V10s) have an air pump that pushes fresh air into the cat, to help with emissions somehow
