I wonder how many miles are on it. He says it'll work on 5.2s and 5.9s but fails to mention (unless he doesn't know) that the 5.9 requires a different flywheel. Not a biggie though.

They must do phone numbers REAL weird in Tulsa. Never seen a phone number formated like X-XXXXX-XXXX before.

eh not sure... thats just one of the cheapest ive seen. I dont live in tulsa so couldnt tell u. I talked to our local transmission shop though and they are also a salvage yard and with labor will convert to standard for $2000 and they said maybe less if they have all the parts.

Not a bad price at all for a shop to do it. Shoot, that's less than my auto rebuild!

Another thing I noticed is that his is a 2WD (no floor shifter) and mine's a 4WD which means the tail shaft housings are different.

Drat. Well, maybe someone else will buy this one up.

i wouldn't buy a used STOCK 46re for any price unless i planned to rebuild it. its just the same stock POS as what you're pulling out and its unlikely to last. it'd just be a waste of money, time, and energy.

Don't mess with it guys! That is not a number in Tulsa, all U.S. numbers are the same. That is a Nigerian Scam. When you contact that person he will give you some bullcrap about how he in out of town or in the service and will have it shipped to you via some special messenger. Oh and the big grabber, how it's all insured and if you are not satisfied you can get your money back in 30 days. IT'S A SCAM! They will grab your money and never to be heard from again. Read up on CL scams at http://www.howtobeatcraigslist.uni.cc it opens your eyes to stuff like this.

I wondered why the number was weird and why he was selling a 'kit' but took pics of the inside of a truck with a stick.

Bastids. Why can't we just blow Nigeria up? It sure would make me feel better.

The reason most likely is that the 47 can take more torque than the 46, hence that's why it's on a Diesel engine and a big brute v10.
