Default engine replacement. headers question?

working on my 2001 ram 1500 with a blown 5.2l 318 in it. have got another engine for the truck. any advice is helpful. i want to put headers on it and keep the stock exhaust for now. does anybody have advice on which headers are better and pricing? i really want to replace them while the new engine is out of the truck so it is easier. any other issues i should be looking for while replaceing the engine itself? have already checked the bearings camshaft and valves on the replacement engine and all is good.thanks

The Summit brand shorties are actually made by Pacesetter. And the do offer them in ceramic coating for exta $. IMO the price of them is cheep enough to replace them if they start looking real bad. Or can always take them off and get some rattle can high temp paint. Got a set of 10 y/o Beyea headers on the race car that look brand new every season.

Do shorty headers bolt right on in place of the stock manifolds and meet up with the y-pipe?
