Default Breaks are really strong at start up?

So i have had a problem with my front breaks for awhile now but cant findout whats going on

They dont squek or anything
But when i start my truck i put my truck in gear and when i let go and press the gas they do a wierd sound like when a door hinge is ungreased. just a eeerrrrrrr type sound

And when i go and get to the first stop sign my brakes basically lock up and i usually leave a black mark from my tires.

After that all goes fine. No problems. no lock up. nothing. I did the breaks myself 8 months ago but it did this before that.

Anyone know what could be going on?

my rear brakes lock up first time each am, but not the front. i think its moisture on the linings.

sounds like a stuck caliper or the brake line has collasped and not letting the fluid to return

check you rear wheel cylinders in the drums. My truck used to bring me to a sreeching stop first time i steped on the brakes right after start up. THe wheel cylinders were bad and leaking some fluid out while the truck sat over night.

mine do the same thing, i notice it more if its real humid out though, so i think its rust or moisture on the drums, i have a gravel driveway, and can skid them easily the first time, by the end of my road, there back to normal

Mine do the same as well. Will grab hard early in the morning when the dew is all over the rotors. Nothing major and it goes away after the first jab of the brakes.

I was wondering if the wheel cylinders caused that. I have the same issue they I get nearly launched through the wind shield the first couple of stops. I have tried pressing the e-brake to see it it does the same thing and doesn't. Maybe I will try the wheel cylinders.

Does the fluid level in the master cylinder go down much?
If it does you have a leak, if not you don't.
It will go down over time due to wear of the brake pads, but not very quick.

when my wheel cylinders were bad i would pull to the end of the drive way at about 5 mph and hit the brakes and the back tires would lock up and drag the gravel. wheel cylinders are easy and cheap (13$) so its worth checking into.
