Default the dodge wants attention

Well, after a 300 mile weekend trip with fishing and wheelin, I noticed a oil leak today after work. I have a work vehicle, so it's a good size puddle thats been drippin for a few days.

Crawled under and just what I thought, the rear main seal.

There goes my Sunday

I think if this happened to me I would try Bars leaks rear main seal it is a seal sweller. Not an oil thickener. The reason some synthetic oils caused leaks early on was that they didn't include the sweller. But I also have an engine that I'll be rebuilding soon to swap out with my current engine.

The leak is very minor, just I have put a ton of work in this truck and leaks are not an option. Have you used this product before? Sounds like a band-aid on a shotgun wound.

Yeah you have!
I've used Bars on a radiator. It's a temporary fix until you can get it home and get the work done. It's not a long term solution.
Once a bad seal... always a bad seal.
Spanky the seal. Club the seal. Make a coat.

ALL these seal fixes are just bandaids. Use them in a pinch, but eventually the leaks come back.

There was a good DIY on replacing the rear main seal a while back. Had photos as well.
