Alright...now is it the actual tb gasket with the place for screws and the 2 openings...or just the round gasket...air cleaner gasket

its the round one. the other gasket goes between the throttle body and the intake manifold and it leaking isn't a common problem. unless the throttle body bolts are loose, then i could see having some air getting between the intake and the throttle body.

I have a weird “hissing” or “shhhh” noise coming from the engine area. I can only hear it in the cab, when I step on the gas. Trying to track the noise down outside is hard because of the engine noise.

I suspect a vacuum leak, it sounds as though it is coming from the brake booster. I did do a vacuum test on the crank case to see if my plenum was leaking. There was no vacuum in the crank case (nor a pressure build up).

Seems to be running good, except horrible gas millage lol

Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Did the gasket trick work? I have the same problem.. It sounds like the brake booster....

grab a spare piece of rubber hose around 3/8" to 1/2" in diameter (about 2.5' ought to be enough) and use it to try to track down the noise. if you put it to one ear and plug the other then you might be able to find the source of the noise.
