Default muffler for a 2001 ram

I'm looking for a new muffler for my 2001 ram 2500. I want the truck to sound meaner but i dont want it to be so loud that it sounds like i'm going 100 mph when im only doing 15. So if anyone could give me some help that would be awesome.

a long time ago when I wanted a louder muffler we used to drill holes in them. it worked pretty good and cost nothing.

I like my Aero Turbine. Straight thru muffler thats really deep but you really have to hear it to choose. I dont have a soundclip. mines dumped before the rear axle and its fairly loud, but not so loud i cant hear my stereo. but keep in mind, it sets other cars alarms off at idle something im extremely proud of

You want it to sound meaner? Get one of those rice-burner mufflers. They sound mean, like a big *** mosquito.

I love the sound of the complete exhaust. I look forward to hearing it again someday hopefully it will sound even better yet with my mods and rebuild

I had the Dynomax cat back and liked it. It was quiet in cab but sounded nice outside. I now have the Flowmaster 50 series and it's louder than I would like. It is not as loud as the 40 series that Blue has. It's a little smoother and not so thunderous sounding. I think I would go with the 50 SUV or 70 series or the stainless Dynomax setup.
