Sorry to hear you need a new one. If money is short than junkyard is a possibility but will have no warranty. You could probably find good rebuilts through parts stores. If I remember right NAPA stores had signs for rebuilt engines. I don't have a clue on cost.

Re-build it yourself?
With a junkyard engine you never know if it is a dud or good until it is put all back together.

ok so lets see here.
why do you need a new motor?
what is wrong with the motor you have?
how many miles does it have?

Lets figure this out first before you spend a goob of money on something that you may not need.

just cruise in the junkyard and scout for a dodge with a rear end collision, granted not the easiest think to find. or stroll down to napa or advanced and see what their charging for a rebuilt motor
