Default Need help with the "Premium" Sound upgrade

So, I bought my Dodge from my great uncle, I was talking to him the other day and he said, "Yeah when I bought that truck from the Dodge dealer I told them they had to put in a CD player." It finally solved the question on why I had the premium deck, but not the tweets in the A pillar.

Well I know a guy at a Ford Dealership, and said I could get some things off the CFC cars. There was a 2001 Dodge ram up there, in good shape. 109,000 miles, brown interior and it was marroon, exaclty like mine. Anyway, it had the premium sound. So, I got both of the tweets off the truck.

So here is my question. I took my a pillar cover off and Dont see a wire. I serously doubt that dodge used a different wiring harness...? right?

The premium system has amps and whatnot, so the wiring probably IS different.

You should go back to the truck you got the pillar covers off of and try and scavenge the wiring going from the pillar down into the kickpanel area and wire them in that way.

The truck originally had no premium sound system, so the wiring isn't there. Your uncle talked the dealer into swapping the head unit is all. So you got a good head unit, but cheapo speaker with no amps.

Ah ok, so how hard would it be to run the new wires to the tweets? I guess it would be better to go aftermarket everything

You can run the wires from the tweets down the door to your door speakers and keep it simple, or like you said, go everything after market. I know Laramie would say, "go all after market and new wiring."
