There HAS to be clips.
My Dakota uses a weird *** hybrid joint since it has an aluminum driveshaft, INTERNAL clips on the yoke end and external clips on the driveshaft end. This is my first Chrysler and the guy at Six States told me Chryslers usually have internal clips.

yea thats what i was thinking they should have clips i know my 99 had internal clips but my 97 has external alot easier

Oops just realize you were talking about axle shaft u joints.
Axle shaft u joints have internal clips.
