Default memory check sum error??

I have an '01 ram 1500 with a 360. My check engine light has been on and off for about a month or 2 now. Some days it's on, some days it's not. I got it checked, and the code reads:

PO601-Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error

What does this mean? How can I fix this? Does the whole control module need to be replaced? I don't notice anything unusual. There is no power loss, no misfiring, no wierd sounds. Just the light is on sometimes. Could it be a faulty sensor of some sort? I appreciate any thoughts, ideas or advice!

That means that serial communication within the PCM keeps failing.
The PCM is going bad and has internal shorts.

Im in the same boat as another guy on the forum. Mine pop'd up a month ago. Seems wierd a bunch are failing around the same time. Anyway whatever you do, do not order a rebuilt computer from Auto Computer Exchange!!!! I am currently going through a big ordeal with them right now over a rebuilt computer that was DOA.

It means either you have a bad stick of RAM memory or your hard drive is failing...

Oh, this is about the computer in your truck?

Seriously though, I agree with the others, your PCM is failing.
