Bought one and got it today. I have a 01 1500 5.2l 4X4 and this is the best thing i have done for the truck. I have a 4" Ebay intake with Magnaflow cat back set up. So i did the 91 performence tune and WOW what a big difference. The go is better and the hesitation is gone.

Awsome, cant wait till i can get mine. Ive been saving up for all kind of stuff for the ram latley. Bills are killin me. But i gotta spend some cash on the ram if you know what i mean! So did you have the death flash?

 

Not sure what the death flash is. LOL Just started doing things to my Truck after two years of owning it. I got the superchip used for $130 shipped couldn't pass that deal up.

 

Nice, Do a search for death flash..There are endless threads on the subject. Most of the time people post up a whole new thread on it asking what it is. When they can just search for it and find out. So there are lots of threads on it. That is if your intrested in finding out what it is.

It kills your power(worst than stock) untill you get a mopar PCM or a Tuner.. Like you have. Im curious to see if you had the death flash.

 

Well from what i have read. I went and looked at my PCM and it did get the Death Flash. So i guess the Superchip help alot because it just has more getty up and go now. Thanks for telling me about the Death flash always wonderded why my 3.5 v6 was alot more powerful then the V8.

 

my 99 has the death flash and just got the same 3715 tuner last week (for $150 thou) and yes, a HUGE differance! So glad I bought it.

 

I got my 3715 and Loved it, untill it broke. Dont know why or how, I always kept it under my driver seat and it never moved, I went to plug it in one day to scan my CEL and for some reason it started giving me the error about being vin locked... I did not change a single thing with the truck. Called SC and they basicly gave me the run around, Im not sure what price's they wanted to fix it or credit me towards a new one but they were not enough for me to actually send it in.

So now my truck is forever in TOW mode, lol... which I dont mind.

 

I have the 3815 87 tune w 87 gas not much to it. Tow is fun as hell. I have yet to try 91 with 91 gas. When I get paid next thats what I will be running.

 

Glad to hear that, Ive got the death flash also. I do work the truck and dont cuss its power. And It'll spin em pretty easy. Loaded the bed full several times. Never had a prob with power. Cant wait till i get my tuner tho. Id love to see/feel the difference everyone's talking about! But im saving for my Manual swap. Cant dip into those funds..

Oh really? Tell me more of this! In tow mode how much of a difference in torque is there?

 

Tow mode there is a lot more power down in the lower rang. The truck is much faster now and I can spin tires left and right. I have yet to really burn them on tow. It raid today and I got stopped at a traffic light try to get moving agin and kept spinning. Like to the point I was like this sucks. It keeps the rpms up around 200-300 higher than stock. I'm sucking gas so fast now.
