Default new radiator related questions

just ordered a new rad and had some ?s

im gonna remove the block drain plugs and was wondering when i put them back in, should i use some kind of sealant?

do you guys use the premixed 50/50?

When I take out the block drain plugs I put petcocks back in.
I use liquid teflon sealant, I believe that what it is. Like the white tape only liquid.
Then it is easier to drain the next time.
I have used pre mix, but usually get the straight stuff and mix it myself.

i used the liquid teflon.
don't over tighten them. its pipe thread, so just apply sealer and snug them up.
