Default 99 Quad Cab A/C quit. What next?

So Cal is in the middle of a heat wave, and my A/C decides to call it quits. Ive looked at the 15a fuse (ok) and I looked (Actually replaced) the A/C Clutch 50a relay. I kind of assumed it was the 50a relay, well I guess I was wrong. Now what?

All that happened was I was driving, with the AC on (Its 102 degs today), then suddenly went cool, then warm, then hot. The AC has worked perfectly up to this point, blowing 44 deg air for the last 10 years...........

All help appreciated!

If the clutch is not engaging try a jumper wire across the 2 wires at the clutch right behind the pulley.

Refrigerant Leak? Cold to warm to hot sounds like freon loss. Might be worth at least a dye test.

same thing happened to me my friend told me it was the evap, they were known for going out, he suggested finding an aftermarket one cause the one from the dealer is going to go out in 3-5 yrs. hmmmm sounds like their transmission guys also designed the a/c units!!

The evaps are prone to leak. Get the system tested by an a/c guru so you don't throw money at the problem. My mech checked mine for free since he does all of my inspections. Yes my evap was junk like all the rest.
