Wire at Ignition switch
Ok i have a 95 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.9L, last night my tail light bulb blew, so i replaced it, now that side is coming up dim, and the reverse light is partially coming on.
So i retraced the wires and found a melted wire at the steering column. It is a Grey with black strip colored wire. It goes into a black box right below the ignition switch. Now it cant be the ignition switch wire because it starts and runs excellent. Just the tail light is very dim.
So is there a free wiring diagram, or does anyone know what the grey and black wire is? because its completely separated (i cut the wire to prevent more melting, and everything still works great, just the lights are dim. but the other tail light is fine, nothing wrong. So any help would be greatly appriciated.

do you have a trailer wiring harness attached to the tail lights? everytime i've had bulbs that were weak or blown...it was the trailer wiring harness crapping out on me. just a thought.
UPDATE
ok so i ripped out the old wire, and put a new one in, all is connected correctly, but now when i hit the hazards this is how the rear lights are flashing
Drivers side tail light will go on as well as Passenger Reverse light, then Pass brake light and drivers reverse light. Kind of like a cop cruiser, they rotate and are not flashing at the same time. So how could this have happened? it melted to a yellow with red stipe wire, (is that the reverse wire?) so could it be possible that the wires are touching further down the harness and when i hit the blinker, the power might be touching the reverse wire to give it power?
Where was the ground at the fuse box?
and no i do not have a teailer harness, all the wires out back and up the chassis is fine, its in the dash area where the wires melted but the black box i mentioned is relayed to the light switch.
So with this any new ideas?
