can someone tell me how to do this properly?? ive heard from shifting from N to Drive but ppl tell me it'll mess up ur transmission and i've also heard slight pushing down on the brake and flooring it but i wanna know how to make my tires spin and stay in one place for a couple seconds

 

ya go form N to D netural drop not a good idea

power brakeing, brake stand..ect not good ..but i little better

one foot on brake push down far.. then gave alots of gas,, then slowy let off the brake not all the way,, just till i starts to spin and hold it

 

1. Hold down brake.

2. Push gas to rev engine.

3. Release brake slowly while holding gas steady.

4. Smokey Burnout!

5. Turn around and pick up the pieces of your transmission.

 

If I do one, I do it like this.

1. Food on brake (just enough to hold the truck in step number 2

2. Press the gas to bring you up to stall speed of torque converter (round 2 grand I think)

3. Floor the gas and release brake simutaneously.


Thats pretty much what everyone else kinda said, just with a different twist. I don't like the idea of killing 2 birds with one stone in this example ... lol the birds being my rear brake pads and my tires, so thats why I do it like I do it. You don't get as good of results as if you were to use the brake, but in all honesty im way over the burnout stage. Costs too much :/

 

how to do a proper burnout....hmmm

buy a chevy! then when the tires are burned up or the transmission falls out...haul it out with the dodge.

 

Install new cap, rotor, and wires, 14x3 intake, and hammer down! with slight brake holding but not a whole lot

 

pour a little bleach in front of each rear tire roll just into it hold the brakes just enough to bring the rpms up to around 2 grand then floor it as you let off the brakes the bleach is really slippery and makes for a really smokey burn out, then head for the tire shop..

 

soap on tires and wet them down

 

All of you all that are recommending that this guy hold his break down.. you all are a bunch of idiots. Sorry, but it is true. If you do just a slight brake hold on wet pavement, that's ok, but doing that on dry pavement? Ignorant. I think aims was the only one hinting at that. Have fun replacing the rear diff.


To the OP you want to peel rubber? Do a proper tuneup on the truck and you will be able to just stomp the gas and peel out. Mine will, why wont yours?

 

I beg your pardon, but how exactly is one to do a good stationary burnout for a bit on dry pavement like the OP had asked without the use of brake? I think you sir are the ignorant one.
