dodge ram 2500 1996, the driver side lock is different from the passenger side lock and i want to switch it bcuz the key to turn on the truck only unlocks the passenger door lock so i want to switch it to make the lock be on the drivers door, how do i remove the locks and switch them???

 

Probably be easier to have a locksmith recode the lock on the drivers side. Or install a cheap keyless entry system. Just my two cents.

is your ignition key the same as your door keys. you might be able to get a matching door lock at the dealer based on either a number stamped on the lock, or your VIN number.
