Gears about $200-300 a set, master install kit $100 a set. labor varies. You'll need a set of gears and install kit for each axle, and a new carrier upfront unless you get a "thick gearset" for the D44 front axle. No new carrier necessary in the back.

It's not a job to be undertaken lightly. You can hose a set of gears quickly if you can't set bearing preload and backlash correctly.

and don't go to a 4wheelparts store for the labor.

well im 18 and work at a mechanics shop so im pretty sure we can get it done. just didnt know how much it cost and if it was all that difficuld. ik u got to set the pinion and all the stuff. will it make much of a difference? im imagine they are stock gears and it has plenty of power in 1st and 2nd gear but once it shifts into 3rd it starts to loose power and when it shifts to 4th shes a dog. I have 35" tires so i imagine thats y it doesnt have a whole lot of power
