Replacing Pass side Ball joints.
Pss side ball jointa are shot and have been for some time. I just picked up some new shoes (33" Hankook Dyna Pro ATM's) but need to replace the ball joint before install the new rubber, and get the truck back in alignment.
Few questions, 1.) Where can I borrow a ball joint press tool. 2.) Does Moog make the best replacement for this? 3.) how hard of a process is this gunna be?
4.) And on a completely different topic....can some-one point me in the direction of how to replace the plenum gasket? THANKS!

Ball Joints.
1. Rent tools from Advance/Auto Zone. Make sure you get the complete kit with all the ball joint attachments, you will use several
2. If you have never done one, it will take a few hours on each side
3. MOOG makes great components...can't go wrong with MOOG
4. Get a cheater bar (3'-4' long steel tube) to extend the ball joint press. This will make the job easier
5. Now is the perfect time to replace shocks, rubber bushings (control arms) and suspension components.
6. If you want to level the front end....NOW is the time to do it, since you will have the control arms apart.

Try a 4-5' bar lol. Put some Moogs in month or so ago. I was using an air impact and it was a bit of a bugger getting them in & out even with that. I just borrowed a buddies bjoint press, some places will lend the tools if you buy the parts from them.
you might need a torch to get them out, i did with mine, but mine were the originals i think? and i went with moog, and its a clean ride, but i still need the alignment....if i can get it there with my electrical problem
