Default ABS Module Removed

I have sent off my ABS module (RWAL)to be rebuilt. Does anyone know if I can drive with the module off? I have sealed the plug ends so dirt and water can't get to them. This is on a 99 Ram 1500.

As long as the brakes are functioning properly, yes you can. Your rear wheels will more than likley lock under hard or heavy breaking, for obvious reasons.

Thanks guys, unfortunatly the module has been bad for some time. With that said I have not been driving the truck as much, plus long hauls suck without the cruise control.

i think it will drive the same with the module removed as when it was installed and not working. w/o it you just have regular brakes, that don't 'unlock' to become antilock. so if you stomp the brakes, they should lock up, just like old fashioned brakes.

do a test in an empty parking lot or other safe area.
