Default 3.9L-V6 exhaust upgrade?

It's a 01 Ram. When i bought it it already had dual exhaust, which sounds alright at idle.

I want something loud and meaty as possible for a V6. I really dont have any knowledge about exhaust. Also, will the exhaust upgrade give me more power and/or better gas mileage?

on my 98 3.8 mustang i had turbo tubes and i had flows.....turbo tubes sounded closest to a v8 but flows were loudest.......2" pipes on both, with the turbos, i had them out the back with 3" tips

heres the flows i had, and again, i would check out the dak forum

get a high flow cat, flowmaster 44's and straight pipe the rest, maybe some headers as well then it should sound decent

or if you dont have emission in your state, eliminate the cat and straight pipe it, it will set the CEL on though

as for gas there wont be much difference regardless of what you do to the exhaust, maybe combos with exhaust might make a diff. but exhaust alone wont do much
