summit headers
I think I have to have a different opion on this...I dont think you will have to replace "hundreds" of electronic problems in 4-5 years...my truck is 11 years old and NO electronic problems and the headers are stock...good statement but misguided!
I live in Oregon...where it RAINS all the time so for me the wrap just is not worth it...but for you...maybe so that is where we are. Just some thoughts...
I do have on stupid question to ask...what is EGR and how I know if I have it?

EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. The way I understand it is it takes exhaust gasses with unburned fuel and purges it back into the engine to reburn and reduce emissions. It's technically illegal to mess with just like any other emissions system, but I live in a state that doesn't test emissions on OBDI or older during inspection.
If you want to know if you have an EGR valve, look at the very passenger side of the back of the intake manifold close to the oil pressure sending unit and see if there is a valve with a hose going to the passenger side exhaust manifold (or header if you replaced the manifold).
