Default Power door locks working whenever they want!

Hi guys, it seems that the power door locks on our dodges seem to be one of those problems that you learn to live with.

Well, I'm tired of living with it, somethimes they work, other times they don't. This is the reason why the truck came with a remote, to avoid having to open the door using the key.

Anyway, I'ved tried looking on the "search" here and have not found a link for removing the door locks and replacing them.

Has any body outhere done this? Is ther a written procedure somewhere?...Pictures will help!

Any help would be totally appreciated...

i know that i took a power tester when doing my electrical problem and foundthat a solid purple wire when i gave it power, locked the doors, and a green wire when i gave power unlocked them, so find your wires, andcheck the connections and grounds

it cost me only 2.99 for the power tester

I know that there is power going to the locks, I can hear them making a buzzing sound, the problem is that they will unlock occasionally.

What I would need is some wirten isntructions on how to take it off, and if possible service it.

Need help there!

you are looking just to remove the plastic power lock switchplate and change out the switches?
