Default Anyone Tried These?

ok so as you see on my pic my truck needs the rockers panels, and the bottom of the doors are getting rusty.

I found these. has anyone tried them? And is this a good price?

I'm sure they work great until the rust you are covering up gets so bad they just fall off or the rust goes above them. Besides, you are just bringing more moisture into play, which will accelerate the problem to begin with.

They look just like a cover. The only way I have seen the rust fixed is to cut and weld.

i agree i've seen alot of these on other truck end up trapping the dirt and salt behind them and rust right out. Your best bet is to get rid of the rust. I sprayed box liner on my rocker panels on a previous truck to keep the paint from getting chipped up and rusting.

You'd be better served to save the money on that stuff, and put it toward a new set of rockers, and lower door skins. That chrome/SS stuff is nothing more than a band-aid, and a bad one at that. Like Z said, it will trap more moisture and accelerate the rust process.
