another tranny problem, broken band.

Default another tranny problem, broken band.

so reverse went out on my truck and when i down shift ex. from drive to 1st gear nothing happens, no engine breaking.. so i was told that the reverse band was broken.

is that a somewhat easy fix? or does the whole tranny have to be replaced?

Me personally, don't know of one easy fix regarding the tranny. Also, always post your truck info. It'll make it easier for someone else to help.

Easy fix!!! Haha, no.

Removal of the bands requires you to dissassembe the whole transmission, which leads you to requiring a re-build anyway...Dont ask me hoe I know...
