But why do you need to get it off so badly? Just leave it on till you get a new one!!! And you said you were looking at getting a black one, why not just paint over the one you have?

I wouldn't be surprised if you can just pry it off with your bare hands. Mine had a sort of silicone compound holding it on. I'm amazed they stay in like they do. I wouldn't mess with attempting to heat the emblem up to take it off either. Just take a small flat head screw driver and pop it out. It's not hard at all.

anyone have (or seen) one of those gem brand 1980's style cast crome heads but made for 94-01 rams? I see car parts.com and jc carries them but I cant find one pic of one installed on a 2nd gen truck...I want to see how it looks before I buy one! They even have a version with light up eyes...

I believe he's been spending too much time in the 3rd gen section.

They pull the badges off and paint them black all the time.

pretty conservative group here.....youd think we were on a classic restoration forum
and the first gen emblem im talking about is supposed to be made to fit on the 2nd gen thats why im looking for a pic of one.....ant kind of aftermarket offroad bumper or bullbar changes that streamline look....and I've seen streamlined classic trucks and cars that had similiar emblems from factory and looked sweet...its all on how it fits and integrates with the hood for me.
