I have a 1998 ram 1500 4 x 4 and the washer fluid chime comes on along with the idiot light in the dash, which stays on. Fluid tank is full. I tried both unhooking the plug at the bottle and jumping across the plug at the bottle with no effect. Anyone know how this circuit works?

RE: Washer fluid Idiot light
Try taking the bottle off, emptying it, and looking in it to see the sensor. Usually some junk gets built up on the sensor tip and makes the chime and light come on. You should be able to take the sensor off the bottle and clean it or dump some hot water in the jug and swish it around to clean the tip. This same problem happened to me with the low coolent light in my van, sludge on the tip was the problem.
