where can I get a crank sensor grommet?

The input shafts are of different sizes in the front. My original pump would not fit on my rebuild. But I knew that through measurement and changed the shafts. Anyway i guess no junk will get into my tranny but it could work it's way to that crank sensor, So would someone please give me a logical reason why that grommet is not a needed item. I'm just being cautious!!
