how much will a normal fluid change take? I got the new pan which says 2-4 extra quarts, the new tc, and the cooler. Trying to get a idea how much fluid I will need.

On a side note besides Walmart and the dealer does anybody else sell the Mopar ATF? My walmart quit selling it. The dealer wants 30.95 a gallon

When I went in to Dodge they said it would take 8-9 quarts or roughly 2 gallons...also I would ONLY get it from Dodge, the fluid that is, nowhere else. I dont take any chances like that

They'll tell you what they need to in order to make a sale. You can buy +4 at any auto pats store.

I've only seen MOPAR ATF at either walmart or the stealership.

There are other brands, I forget the names, but supposedly they are exactly the same stuff as MOPAR. I think I'll just stick to the MOPAR anyway and pay more! LOL

Do yourself a favor and check the torque of the bolts after a week.
They often work themselves lose, and need to be retorqued 1 time, after that you should be set.
If you don't, you stand a good chance of blowing out the gasket, and having to do it all again.

figures. I was thinking getting like 3 gallons. You guys saying at least 8 seals the deal there. 90 bucks in tranny fluid. Oh well like I've been telling everybody its better to spend money on the extra fluid then a burnt up tranny and new tc
