Default Want More Volume

I have a 98 1500 and it is too quiet. Right now running just the cat with straight pipe behind it. I had thought about removing the cat but don't want to look at the CEL. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah... Wouldn't think so but it is. My buddy has a pretty much stock GMC with cat's and Flowmasters and is much louder than my Dodge.

I have good exhaust flow just not a lot of sound.

I passed a guy last night and could hear him jump on the gas while he was behind me trying to catch up.

Thanks I guess I'll just lose the cat. if the light comes on at least I know my options now. Don't want to lose any more low end 35 inch tires and 3.55 gear

a cheaper way to take care of your CEL is to buy a couple sparkplug nonfoulers to take your rear 02 sensor out of the exhaust flow

do you have tips on your tails? i had 4" tips on mine with the cat and it was pretty loud

I went with JBA headers, Mag Hi-flow CAT and JBA performance exhaust which is 3 inch SS pipe / CAT back system and a HUGE SS muffler coupled to a 4 inch polished SS tip. It is pretty loud when you open it up-even with the windows up. It's low, open and rumbly when street driving and is not fatiguing on long trips.

Going too loud can be fatiguing but, if that's what your looking for, this system is not what your looking for.
