how do you know if your truck has a lift

Default how do you know if your truck has a lift

ok i have a 1996 dodge 1500 4x4 with a 5.2 you mite see in the pic .i have tire size 31/10.5/15 on it ...i just got this truck for 1,000 of off of a guy it looks like it has a lift ,,,but if it does how do you tell.

post a side view picture so we can see the leaf springs and the top of the coil springs.

You can look at the rear springs, if you have two blocks under them, you probaly have a lift. Also look at you suspension linkage, if it is aftermarket it will usualy have the manufacturer name on it.

if a good kit is installed properly, you shouldnt be able to tell its not factory unless you measure it.

Unless it is mine, where the PO hacked up the front wheel wells to install taller shock and spring mounts to lift it.

the 31 10.5 isnt that big of a tire, (ran those on my 93 nissan d21)

Looking at it, do you have alot of excess room for bigger tires? if there alot of room most likely you have a lift.

or do what everyone else has said, and get a side pic, and we'll be able to tell

my tires are 31.8in. and look at the room i have, do you have more than that?

i added some pics so ya can see..its got blocks on it,but there metal with a stopper not like the lifting blocks i see all the time,from the ground to the bottom of the of the boddy at the door is 19ins,with 31/10.5/15

that looks like stock suspention components to me, except your shocks. those are stock blocks and that arm is to hit you bump stops.
