Question Brake and Trans question

Hi Everyone. I have a couple of problems with my Dodge. It’s a 2000 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9l auto(46RE). My first problem is with the brakes. I did a complete brake job on this truck. New wheel hubs, rotors, pads, rebuilt the calipers on the front. On the rear I replace the wheel cylinders, all new clips and springs, new drums and shoes and bleed the entire system. When I first drove the truck everything seemed fine. The next day I went to work and got half way there and I had some major brake chatter. I have rear antilock brakes only and thought it might be the proportioning valve. I looked under the rear of the truck and couldn’t see a valve. Any ideas where it might be and where I can get a new one?

The second issue has to do with the transmission. I had an error code P1740 and was told it was the over drive solenoid. I replaced it and did a fluid and filter change at the same time. I drove it for a few weeks with out any problems. I took a long trip and about 45 min into the trip the transmission dropped out of over drive on its own. This lasted for around 5 min and went back into over drive. After doing this a few times I decided to cut my trip short. I was told the converter needed to be replaced. I have the 46RE transmission with a lockup converter. Is there a way to know which converter I have without taking it a part? This is my only vehicle and can’t have down to long.

Thanks for your help, Rich
