Question Getting ready to put the plow on for the winter,..Need help with brake up-grades,..

I've read and re-read the threads on up-grading my master cylinder to a '97.
And up-grading my wheel cylinders to 3500 series. (Cause my truck WON'T stop
worth a damm with that plow on)!
Yep, everything works as of now; New pads & rotors, new drums and shoes but,
it STILL sucks at stopping!!
My question is; With all that weight on the front when the plow is on, will my rears just
instantly lock-up with the 3500 wheel cylinders? Is there a wheel cylinder
I can use that's better than stock and not as agressive as the 3500??

Well, if you have that plow on you need to have ballast in the rear to counter balance the plow + weight to keep the wheels planted. Then, it will not matter what wheel cylinders you have, it shouldnt lock up. Use the 3500 wheel cylinders and get the shoes adjusted right. You dont want the front brakes to take all the stress in a stop with that heavy plow.

Right... I do throw about 600 lbs of bags of salt in the back. I'll use the 3500 cylinders
then.

(Hope it helps)!
