Just to clarify, your refering to an AirRaid cold air intake that you just installed? Did you hook the tube up to the air hat,and block the other side off? "Loud noise", could be one of a bazillion things. We're pretty fart smellers, err smart fellers here. But none of us are pyschic. In short, details, details, details. Also what engine is it? 5.2?, 5.9? Your sig is a little on the vague side. Not to bust a newbies chops, but if you want good answers, we are gonna need good info. If not there is always

EDIT- Just looked at sig again, my bad, he listed it as a 5.9. NEED MORE COFFEE!

Any air hat other than the stocker will transmit more noise than you are used to.

you would definatly hear the valves chattering if that hose isnt hooked up, because right through that it goes to the inside of VC, transmitting the noise

plug it with your finger, it will quiet it down. (or am i not talkin bout the right thing here??)
