Default tow problem

i got to tow my bronco from louisiana to west virginia. i want to know if my 2000 ram 1500 reg cab long bed with the 5.9l be able to pull it and the trailer. i think its got a oil cooler but not sure. plz help

why not.. make sure you tow with overdrive off though.. just do a check up.. make sure the tranny fluid is good.

is your transmission stock? or has it ever been rebuilt ?
do you have a cooler ? you need to find out.

welcome to df.
our stock transmissions are crap. if you're pulling a full size truck and a heavy dual axle trailer, i'd think twice about it. i know of 3 people that burnt up transmissions towing medium to heavy loads.

if you do, add a simple cooler if you don't have one and leave OD off. the OD is the likely part to burn up.
