2001 1500 Sport

I'm replacing the RH headlight and the service manual says to drop the bumper in order to get the necessary clearance to remove/install. I'm thinking it's written with the regular Ram in mind.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply remove just the plastic bumper cover on the Sport?

i took my sisters out to seal it up and i just pushed down on the plastic a little to get it to clear. her husband dented the bumper a couple days after they got it though so the whole bumper was pushed up a little bit.
