Unknown Problem

Default Unknown Problem

When i turn my heat on, my fuel pump shuts off in my 98 1500. Even when i try to remove the fuses, my fuel pump shuts off. Any ideas?

This sounds like the wiring is chaffed and touching causing the short

+1 get a wiring schematic and follow the heater wiring and see where it intersects, OOOOOR just don't use the heater.

are you blowing fuses ?
investigate in/around something called the Automatic Shutdown D____ (ASD) system. when the computer fails to get certain signals that all is well, it shuts down the fuel pump for fire/safety purposes.

when i had my short i wasnt blowing fuses...so even if its not blown doesnt mean the wiring is good
