What did you randomly notice with your Ram recently.
True, but with cast wheels, density variances in the materials can cause them to have heavy and light spots. Not so much a problem with low and high spots because these wheels are turned to dimension on a precision milling machine, but the weight variances can cause balancing issues. Still, the quality of most aluminum wheels today probably makes this kind of balancing overkill. A good high-speed balance should be sufficient for our trucks. On a sports car with a light chassis and tuned suspension, this process may make more sense.
speaking of balancing, a few years ago, my dad took his truck into our local tire shop to have new rubber put on all 4
the rims under the rear of the truck were bent, we don't know exactly how they got bent, but we're gussing it was from towing the 17,000 lb gooseneck before we had airbags (when we'd hit anything more than a small bump, the bolts on the gooseneck hitch would bottom out on the spring plates, making for one helluva jar in the cab)

I noticed that when I stomp on the gas pedal, the fastest moving needle in the dash is not the speedometer, but the one that is always moving from "F" to "E" ...
sidenote, filled the truck back up today. it took about 16 gallons to go about 175 miles. which is about a fat 11 mpg combined city/highway.

I noticed that under my fender flares im starting to get rust in the fenders and rocker panels. So fun fun fun in the winter ahead. So I took the fender flares off. now the truck looks like I added a 2 inch lift. I love the look.
