Help. My '01 Ram wants to hunt while driving down the road, the bumpier the pavement the worse. I checked the ball joints and they were shot so I replaced them. It has solved about 80% of the problem. The truck has 285 width tires on 20" rims on the front and I was wondering if this could be contributing to the problem.

I'll take a guess , since we have to guess whether or not you have 4wd, and say check the trac-bar.

Have someone turn the steering wheel right to left(without the truck running) while you inspect "everything" steering related from the bottom of the steering column under the brake booster out to the tie rods.
