Default Truck tow wiring problem

Hello all. I have a 98 Ram 1500 with the factory towing package. It is a 7 way

system.

I am only getting fire on the yellow and green turn signal wires on the plug.

All of my fuses were good (so far as I can tell) , are there any relays

that may cause this?

I found a relay underneath the truck and I am going to replace it. Could that

be the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

what is the specs on the truck? yr. make. model. etc.. also could you clarify your question, i can prolly help as i too have the tow pkg.

also there is a relay under the hood too. youll have to look on the lid of the fuse panel under the hood, to find the location as i dont know off the top of my head.

It is a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 4x2.

I checked the fuse box under the hood and on the side of the dash. The fuses

all checked out. I am unsure whether a relay is bad or not that would

contribute to my problems.

In a nutshell, my factory 7 way plug is not getting any fire.

Is there a special fuse or relay for the towing system?

ya, theres a trailer tow relay in the under hood fuse panel, im not sure what on relay is the same, but you can look, and swap it out, and see if that fixes your problem.

I checked the 40a relay under the hood in the pdc box. It is good.

I replaced the relay underneath the truck next to the plug.

I am still only getting fire on the yellow and green turn signal wires.

Any thoughts?
