Default short throw shifter?

will the short throw hurst shifters for the dakotas work on my 1998 5.2 ram with the nv3500, or do they make one specifically for our trucks?

Yes it will.

I had a Hurst and didn't like it. It's noisy and the short throw = a lot more shift effort. I put the stock shifter back on, it's quiet, it's easier/faster to shift, just a little sloppy...

really. i figured it might be stiffer, and since its a daily driver that might become a pain. but what about any other manufacturers. no one else makes a short throw for the nv3500?

Only Husrt, and they're discontinued, so anything you find will be NOS or used.

There are a lot of people that like the Hurst, I just didn't care for it.
