Help finding a tuner
That was what they told me when I had asked them about one for my truck.
even the 98 is new for the superchips they had the tirepaq out for the 98 when i bought my truck and i emailed them and how much it cost to upgrade to the flash paq, they said they didnt make one for my year im glad i didnt buy the tirepaq then
This kind of thing is relatively new for Dodge. Even SCT is just getting into it as well. I had emailed hemi in regards to some questions in regards to how far one can go in the software to tweak offsets and, he told me it's very new and is not there yet. He and another guy were two that were responsible for a lot of development that went into getting that product to where it is now for Dodge.
Hypertech: when calling them, they informed me that they did not make anything for 96 OBD II. They sell the 180 T-stats and even go as far as advertising that they sell a tune that's 50 state legal for that mod but, it's not available for certain platforms yet.
So, this whole thing is really, in my opinion, just starting to bloom now. I see SCT is developing all kinds of new products from dash monitoring kits to new tow and racing packages to programming software.
Those folks sell their software so, if one is interested, you can purchase the software and learn to program your own flash tunes. They even offer classes on how to do this. Hemi teaches some of those classes.
This is the ultimate in tweaking your vehicle. The only problem is, right now, at current, it is limited to what you can tweak and, if your like me and you have a hi-mi engine and your looking to change the offset value, it's not available - yet.
Now, if your running a Chevy and your running EFILive, it can be done. Like I said, for Dodge trucks, this is very new and upcoming.
