Default transmissions

well i am stoked i am getting my truck back next week....


my question is how many people are running a trans up graded with dieasel parts? the guy who is doing mine is rebuilding it with diesel parts the 5 gear planatareys and lutches and such.....

will this trans be able to hold up to a super charger now? and will it tow better?

Should be pretty good with the 47re guts, be sure to go deep pan & extra cooler with temp gauge for extra security if you havent already. Hopefully you got a better tc as well & not a modified oem. I dont tow and smoked a modded oem tc in no time with mild 360 & 7psi.
Buddy has similar to what you have & put down 460rwhp na on a Mustangdyno (about 495rw on dynojet) held up pretty good so far. Not sure if hes going to run it behind his 454ci r3 block he has now.
Ive now got PATC Ramzilla internals(all planets 6gr) as well as stronger pump (no 5:1 kickdown though) with a P.I. Viper 3800stall. Wanted od to last more than a few feet WOT this time

whats a good stall too run with some minor bolt on no supercharger for better ***** off the line 2300 ??

2300 would be a good rpm for stock with bolt ons

well i was thinking 2300 cause i do tow some and will run it daily too.
