As some of you know someone hit my truck. I am taking the money and fixing both fenders(one was a tree and one was the guy who hit me). So instead of putting the stock bumper back on i would like to toss a buckstop bumper or one like that. Problem is they weight 200LB ish. So will i be ok with that heavy of a bumper?? I would also like to toss a warn 9500hs winch on the front of it. Will i toast my front end with this setup? I also plan on adding 285s and a leveling kit later in the not so near future. Also could someone give me some suggestions for a nice deer guard bumper? I have been looking and cant quite decide on one.(if it will all work out weight wise).

A heavy duty one is going to add weight and then the addition of a winch will add to that. Plus, it is all hanging off the front. Mine is heavy and I went to diesel coils. The bumper made the front really really soft. Not comfortable in corners and I lost height. After putting the diesel coils in it feels really nice. I haven't put my sway bar back on either.

 

I just ordered a bumper from Off Road Tech in Portland, OR. I was going to go with something like a Buckstop when I found these guys and liked their design better. Looks like they're a little lighter than a Buckstop or Road Armor as well. Heck of a lot cheaper ($1200.00 vs. 2000.00+).

You have to finish these yourself, they're shipped raw metal. For now I think I'll paint it and will powdercoat later when I have several other items to do as well. They make a rear bumper you can get a discount on if you buy them together, but I'm just getting the front.
